Dr. Lambert has been in some form of ministry since 1982, working as a volunteer or on the part-time and full-time staff with a variety of churches and para-church organizations, primarily in the area of youth ministry. He also has worked at very small, very medium and very large churches. His primary teaching load is in Christian Ministry and youth ministry, but he also gets a chance to teach some Bible from time to time.
Among Dr. Lambert's other activities, he has been involved with mission work in the Ukraine and Bosnia, and has a passion for the peoples of Eastern Europe. Currently he is a member of the North American Professors of Christian Education and the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry. He has served on the board of the directors of the Youth Ministry Educators Association and was editor of their professional publication, the Journal of the Youth Ministry.
Zondervan/Youth Specialties published his book Teaching That Makes A Difference in 2004. It is used by over 70 professors in America and around the world and has been translated into Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. His website is www.teachingyouth.com.
His greatest joy in life comes from goofing off with his family, which includes his wife Becky, daughter Alexa, daughter Caley, and son Cameron. He also enjoys playing acoustic guitar and drums, and endures being a life-long Cincinnati Reds fan. He is determined to live until the day Pete Rose is inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame.
