Instructions to Traditional Undergraduate Students

Commencement Preparation Schedule

Tuesday, September 8 – Monday, October 30, 2009
Date to place regalia orders (gowns, caps, tassels and hoods- master grads only) with the JBU Bookstore. Shipping is available. Contact the Bookstore directly at 479.524.7195. Orders will be accepted until October 30, 2009, without incurring a late fee. The Bookstore will open at 9:00 a.m. on the day of Commencement.

Sunday, December 6, 2009
Deadline for Traditional Undergraduate students to meet all chapel requirements in order to be eligible to participate in commencement. Contact the Office of Christian Formation (479) 524-7213 if you have any questions.

Friday, November 20, 2009
All correspondence course final exams must be taken no later than Friday, November 20, 2009.

• To be considered an official Fall 2009 graduate, we must receive documentation of completed work by January 11, 2010.
• Diplomas will be mailed by March 1, 2010. Please check with the Business Office to make sure your account is in good standing as this may prevent your diploma/official transcript from being released.
• Official transcripts – Federal Privacy Laws state that we must require a signature from the student before we can release any document with your grades on it. However, one transcript marked “Issued to Student” will be included with your diploma. If you need to order official or unofficial transcripts, please visit the Registrar homepage, then click on the Transcript Request form. You may print this form and fax or mail it to our office.
