Where were you born?
Wilmington, North Carolina
Why did you choose JBU?
I was not going to come to JBU because this is where my older brother
went to school…also, it was in Arkansas?!! However, I came
to visit and fell in love with this campus and the kind of student
that chooses to go to JBU. Once I settled on my major of Digital
Media, I realized that JBU is where I needed to be.
What are your hobbies?
Oil Painting, cooking, and hanging out with friends! My husband
and I are building a house, so lately I have been taking up the
hammer and tool belt and learning how to build stuff, I’m
not that good at it, but we have fun!
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Hmmm….I have favorite verses during different seasons of my
life, this season my verse is Philippians 4:16 - "...you sent me aid again and again when I was in need."
Where is your favorite place to hang out in Northwest Arkansas?
Hands down, it would be Hugo’s. It is this fun, underground
(literally) restaurant that serves amazing food. If you come to
JBU, ask me for directions!
What is your favorite movie?
Well, see, I grew up as a missionary kid and so I missed all the
80’s and 90’s movies, so my husband thought it would
be great if we catch up on those. Right now, Ferris Bueller’s
Day Off would be my favorite!!
Why did you choose to work in Admissions?
I love the enthusiasm and excitement of high school students! You
all are awesome! It is a pleasure to be able to work with you and
share my passion of Christian higher education and love of JBU!
What is the name of your spouse and children?
I am married to Jason Herron, we have been married for two years and don't have any kids yet.
We just got a weimariener puppy named Pooka! We are testing our "parenting skills" out on him before we
have the real thing.
What deodorant do you use?
Secret – Jasmine Orient…pretty good smelling if you
ask me!
