Where are you from? 3 years - Dallas, TX. 6 years - Lubbock, TX. 4 years - Indianola, MS. 10+ years - Siloam Springs, AR.
What activities were you involved with at JBU? Intramurals, Study Abroad in China, Men's Ministry, The Genesis House.
Major in college? History
Why are you working at JBU? College is a great time for developing intellectually, personally, and spiritually, and JBU helped me in all of these categories. My professors challenged and encouraged me, friends I made supported me, and the coming together of backgrounds from all Christian denominations deepened my understanding of God and what He is doing in the world. My experiences as a student made me want to work here - its an all around great place.
What is your favorite thing to do in NWA? Kayaking, fly fishing, and discovering new restaurants in Fayetteville.
Favorite Books? Most anything by John Steinbeck or N.T. Wright. I like reading History, Theology, or literature with good themes. If you have any suggestions, send them my way.
Favorite movies? Good Will Hunting, Paradise Now, A Very Long Engagement, Dan in Real Life, Nacho Libre, The Lives of Others, Enemy at the Gates (even though the Russians have British accents), There Will be Blood.
What's one word or phrase that describes you? Gangly.
What quick advice would you give an incoming JBU student? Get involved in things you're interested in, whether that's through intramural sports, helping out in ministries on campus, or participating in academic clubs or organizations. Your time outside of class is just as important as your GPA. But making good grades is a good idea, too.
Describe your family: My family includes my wife, Kaitlyn, and our crazy, curly-haired goldendoodle, Sherlock. He's a handful.
