Admission into the John Brown University early childhood education degree completion program (EDC) is a two-step process. Students who apply as early childhood education majors and meet the minimum requirements for admission into the Advance Program will be admitted as pre-candidates. Once accepted as a pre-candidate, students will be invited to program orientation.
Admission to JBU as an EDC pre-candidate:
To be admitted into the Advance program as a pre-candidate for early childhood education, students must meet the following criteria:

New students, regardless of age or number of hours enrolled, are now required by Arkansas law to furnish proof of immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella. MMR vaccination may be confirmed by an immunization record from a doctor's office, health department, or school records. For more information, please contact your Advance Program representative.

Candidates may take the Praxis II Exam 0014 and apply for background checks after attending Orientation.
