As a graphics design professor, Todd Goehner’s art is deeply rooted in the physical world. Growing up between Hawaii and Washington State, Todd developed a deep love for the created world and all of the unique characteristics of each environment, which is why a week doesn’t go by when he isn’t camping, mountain biking, or fly-fishing. He leads study trips and mission trips all around the globe, and immerses himself in the details and modes of communication of those he spends time with, which is essential for effective graphic design.

Todd Goehner graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Art and Design from John Brown University in Siloam Springs Arkansas in 1994 and later received a Master of Fine Art degree in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. He returned to JBU to teach in 2005. Along with teaching graphic design, he also teaches screen-printing classes and art for non-majors classes. He often guest lecturers on Logo Design, Corporate Identity, Poster Design and Typography at the University of the Nations campuses around the world and gives workshops on Screen Printing and Graphic Design in various venues and locations.

Not just a classroom teacher, Todd Goehner’s professional work experience includes working as a package designer, graphic designer, director of digital prepress, and art director from Arkansas to Colorado. He is currently working on a variety of design projects for a wide range of clients including both ministry-based organizations and corporate companies. Combining graphic design with fine arts, he also creates screen print posters for show in galleries.

Todd is happily married to Heather and has a great dog named Seeley.
