Simeon Hinsey enters his third year as Sports Information Director for John Brown University.  Hinsey, a former JBU basketball player, graduated with double majors in digital media and broadcasting in 2002 before moving on to a career in the media industry.  In 2006, Hinsey returned to JBU after serving in several positions for CBS affiliate, KFSM-TV Channel 5, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  At the same time, he also completed his master’s degree in sports management from California University of Pennsylvania.

Along with his duties as Sports Information Director, Hinsey serves as Coordinator of Recreational Activities which includes intramurals and club sports.  Hinsey also instructs the Foundations in Digital Video Editing course for undergraduate students.

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Hinsey resides in Siloam Springs with his wife, Stephanie, and son, Samuel.
