The CARE Clinic at John Brown University
Welcome to John Brown University's CARE Clinic where you will find affordable counseling in your time of need. The CARE Clinic exists to serve the community as well as to help train tomorrow's counseling professionals.
The CARE Clinic was designed to give JBU's graduate counseling students an easily accessible opportunity for further training and supervision, while at the same time make affordable counseling available to anyone in the community.
The CARE Clinic model seeks to integrate Competence, Christ-like Attitudes, Relationships, and Essential knowledge to facilitate growth and healing for individuals, couples, and families.
The CARE Clinic counselors are master's level JBU students in the final stages of their counseling program. They have been trained in a variety of specific methods of treatment and are completing one of the following degree programs:
Each student counselor is supervised on a regular basis by a licensed counselor. This supervision provides the student counselor with regular training and the ability to ask questions should an emergency occur.
Licensed counselors are also available for counseling sessions.
