The Soderquist Center - University Profile
The Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics
The Soderquist Center for Leadership & Ethics is dedicated to developing and shaping values-based leaders around the world. The Soderquist Center shares John Brown University's non-profit status and operates facilities in two Northwest Arkansas locations; a main office and ropes course in Siloam Springs as well as an executive retreat center and ropes course on Beaver Lake in Rogers.
Don Soderquist, retired COO and Senior Vice Chairman of Walmart Stores, Inc., founded the Soderquist Center in 1998. Since that date, they’ve worked with hundreds of organizations and impacted thousands of leaders who are making a difference in the marketplace today.
Offerings include open-enrollment programs like Milestone for high-potential leaders, team-building on either of the two high- and low-ropes courses, executive-to-executive coaching, strategic planning, and digital DIY resources for hosting meaningful leadership conversations within a team.
While the majority of their work is out in the marketplace, the Soderquist Center engages with JBU students in a variety of ways. The Center provides oversight for the Enactus (formerly SIFE) program in the Donald G. Soderquist College of Business. The organization also awards Soderquist Fellowships to deserving young professionals to pursue a graduate degree through JBU on a scholarship while working for the Center as a Project Coordinator.
