CDA or Chris Confer?

 

(CDA) Career Development Assistants are trained to edit resumes, look for jobs, give occupational testing, and assist you in using general career tools.   CDA   Schedule     

Dr. Chris Confer is the Director of Career Development. He does career counseling and can address any particular concerns you may have about jobs, interviewing, etc. Find out more about Chris

Freshman:

• Choose a major

• Explore career options for your major

• Develop strategies for effective career preparation

• Take personality inventories

Sophomores:

• Develop a career plan (talk to your adviser or Career Development Center)

• Finalize your choice of a major

• Seek out field-related summer internship possibilities

• Consider study abroad opportunities  

Juniors:

• Research job opportunities

• Research graduate programs

• Explore internship possibilities (by major)

• Study abroad

• Create your 1st Resume

• Practice Interviewing

Seniors:

• Write resumes & cover letters

• Search for jobs

• Learn interview skills

• Prepare for the GRE, MCAT or LSAT
