Why you teach at JBU: Teaching at JBU is a passion of mine. But that passion doesn't come from getting in front of the students and sharing the information and material in a relevant way. I have that passion because it's a ministry to me. To know 100% that God has me in that position to influence and shape the leaders of tomorrow in a Christ-centered way is humbling, but purposeful in that I love doing it knowing it's "His" work. It's also very energizing because these students can step out of the classroom and have a meaningful impact the next day in their workplace, in their communities, and in their personal life. I also enjoy interacting with the students and helping them in and out of the classroom. I had a former student this week send me a note to tell me how excited they were to get a new job. That makes it all worthwhile.

About Kevin:  My lovely wife of 24 years (Amy) and I and our three kids, Grant (18), Lydia (15), and Ira (9) have lived in Bentonville, Arkansas, for 14 years. Grant is a senior at Benton County School of the Arts, Lydia is a sophomore at Bentonville High School, and Ira is a third grader at Elm Tree Elementary. Grant will be a freshman at Ozark Christian College in the fall. Lydia is Miss Arkansas Junior Teen and the president of the sophomore class. And, Ira is my best friend (ask him!). Amy has the toughest job in the world, working in the home taking care of our kids. She also has a part-time job at Blue Moon Boutique in Bentonville on the Square. I work for AT&T as a Strategic Client Executive, handling the world's largest 250 corporations, and have been blessed to have worked there for 24 years.

I love to run, and run four miles, six days a week. I'm also an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan and enjoy watching the OKC Thunder as well. I fish as often as I can, and am horrible at golf. I played baseball throughout college at Carl Albert State College, and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, receiving my bachelor's degree in marketing in 1987. I went back to school in 1997, and received my MBA from Southern Nazarene University. My honors are that my wife loves me (at least I think she does) and how my kids describe me to their friends. I also enjoy hearing from former students and knowing that Christ is guiding their lives and they have grown greatly from their experience at JBU.
