Parent PLUS Direct Loan
- JBU is a participant in the Direct Loan program so your lender will be the US Department of Education.
- Fixed Interest Rate of 7.9%
- Origination fees are 2.5% of the principal loan amount
- Payment will automatically begin when the loan is fully disbursed for the year but the borrower can apply to have the loan deferred while the student is in school and through the student's six month grace period.
There is a PLUS Loan Application and Master Promissory Note (MPN) that must be completed on-line for PLUS loan borrowers.
Please click on the link below, sign in, and select "Request a PLUS Loan" to complete the Loan Application. Then select "Complete Master Promissory Note" to complete the MPN for the Parent PLUS Loan.
