Super-Scoring on the ACT and SAT
The composite score on the ACT is calculated by averaging four individual subject scores(English, Reading, Math, and Science). When a student takes the ACT more than once, JBU will make a new composite score for the student, averaging the highest subject scores. See below for an example:
| ACT 1 | ACT 2 | ACT 3 | |
| English | 25 | 27 | 24 |
| Reading | 26 | 23 | 29 |
| Science | 30 | 29 | 28 |
| Math | 31 | 33 | 32 |

28 | 28 | 28 |
Superscore: 30
The composite score on the SAT is calculated by adding together two subject scores (Verbal and Math). When a student takes the SAT more than once, JBU will make a new composite score for the student, adding together the highest subject scores that the student has received.
