Jim and Marilyn Holliday attended JBU, graduating in 1964.  Jim was a chemistry major, while Marilyn (Hood) was a home economics major.  Jim earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from JBU (1964), a M.S. degree in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in chemical physics from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis.  He has also conducted research as a NASA Summer Research Fellow at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.   Dr. Holliday served JBU for over 38 years in several capacities.  His roles included Associate Dean, Dean of Faculty, and Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Professor.  Marilyn Holliday served in the library and in the Media and Tech Center for nine years before her retirement.  Jim retired from JBU in 2008.  He passed away in 2012.
