Bobby and Wanda Jackson Endowed Scholarship

Bobby Jackson earned a B.S. in Business Administration from JBU in 1958. Wanda, known as “Punkie” by her friends, was an Elementary Education major at JBU. Bobby and Wanda were the first couple to be married in the Cathedral of the Ozarks. Following graduation, Bobby spent the next four years on active duty as a naval officer. Released from active duty in 1962, they moved to Texas and Bobby began his Financial Planning profession. Simultaneously, he continued his naval career through the Ready Reserve and retired as a Commander.
Bobby became a Chartered Life Underwriter in 1968 and a Chartered Financial Consultant in 1984. He has been with Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp. for 51 years. Bobby served on the John Brown University Board of Trustees from 1985 to 2013.
