Matthew David Oliver of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, a vibrant, creative, passionate and compassionate young man with a great sense of humor who loved the Lord, his family and friends, who wanted to invest his life helping others, died May 5, 2007, in Delaware County, Oklahoma. He was born on February 23, 1984 in Pella, Iowa to Gary J. Oliver and Carrie E. (Webster) Oliver. Matt was a student at John Brown University majoring in Family and Human Services.
Marsha Lee Oliver, 66, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, a kind, generous, thoughtful and unselfish woman with the gift of hospitality who loved the Lord her family and friends, died on October 24, 2008. Marsha was the sister of Gary J. Oliver. She was also Matthew’s aunt and they were very close. Marsha contracted polio on her 5th birthday and despite significant disabilities spent many years working for the State of California Department of Employment as a manager, supervisor and was appointed by the Governor to serve on several state advisory committees. She had the gift of encouragement and after her retirement spent much of her time bringing hope and help to others.
