Advancement Services

• Steve Onnen – Director of the JBU Scholarship Fund and Advancement Services
  Manages Annual JBU Scholarship Fund. Oversees department database and gift processing. Manages Advancement office operations. Manages department work-study students.

  Implements central data needs for the Advancement department. Oversees gift-processing for JBU. Coordinates donor research for the department. Oversees records for department database. Coordinates out-going mailings for the department.

  Enters all pledge and gift information for JBU and KLRC. Prepares mailings for gift acknowledgement letters. Updates constituent information. Prepares data for phonathons. Assists with mailing data and donor research.

• Andrea Phillips – Director of University Communications
  Leads the development of the university's publications, marketing materials, public relations, and new media.
  Manages the communications team.

• Allen Dempsey – Creative Director
  Responsible for managing the development, design and production of marketing and communication materials for the university such as brochures, magazines, posters, etc. as well as manages work-study and freelance workers. His office is located in the Graphic Arts Building.

• Rachel Fiet – Coordinator of Public Relations
  Coordinates communications with internal and external publics including newspaper, radio and television. Writes and distributes press releases for external audiences, writes and manages copy for university publications, brochures, newsletters and internal publications such as the Weekly Beat.

• Mike Peterson – Print Production Manager
  Manages all aspects of printing for the university (both in-house and contract printing), paper, envelope and stationery orders. His office is located in the Graphic Arts Building.

Development and Planned Giving

• Paul Eldridge – Sr. Director of Development and Planned Giving
  Hires, trains and supervises the Regional Director staff. Represents JBU to major donor prospects. Heads up the Planned Giving area for JBU.

  Provides research support for University Advancement. Researches major gift prospects. Updates and maintains constituent files.

• Heather Crain – Coordinator of Donor Stewardship
  Writes and creates donor stewardship reports to be distributed by the Director of Major & Planned Giving and the Regional Directors. Creates proposal materials to be used in contacting prospects and donors about annual giving groups as well as special fundraising projects.

  Works in assigned regional area to represent JBU for donor solicitation. Solicits major gifts and talks to donors and prospects about planned giving and other various gift opportunities.

• Sherry Miller – Coordinator of Scholarships and Planned Giving
  Manages the funded and endowed scholarships, including setting up new ones. This includes connecting the donors with the students via thank you cards, Scholarship Recognition Dinner, and other methods. Manages data entry, financial records, and mailings for the National Development Team in their fundraising efforts. Manages records and special mailings and events for our Master Builders, donors who have remembered JBU with a Planned Gift.
