About Northwest Arkansas
Notice of Availability of Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report
The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act was passed in 1990 and was amended in 1998 to form the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This law requires that certain institutions of higher education distribute to all current students and employees a copy of the required report, and also to all prospective students and employees. In 2009 the Annual Fire Safety Report was included.
The Annual Security Report contains crime statistics, as well as alcohol, drug, and weapon offenses for the past three years. Campus policies regarding reporting crimes, safety information, sexual violence prevention, and emergency contact information are also included. The Annual Fire Safety Report, which contains information about fire safety in student housing, and information on the fire reporting log, is also included with the Annual Security Report.
The report for each JBU campus is available at the following link, and a paper copy of the report will be provided upon request.
For prospective students, employees, and all others who do not have access to the internet publication, a copy may be obtained by contacting JBU Campus Safety at 479.524.7403 or CampusSafety@JBU.edu.
