This summer is our 3rd visit to the village of Killyleagh, Northern Ireland. Our primary ministries are Children’s Bible Club for the youngsters ages 4-11, Sports Camp for students aged 11-16, and church involvement. These activities not only involve games and fun, but also provide an opportunity for us to present the gospel to young people who feel the stress between Catholics and Protestants in their community. We serve alongside three local churches in Killyleagh: The Church of Ireland, 1st Presbyterian, and 2nd Presbyterian.

Ethiopian Studies Program

Dates: May 5 – June 4, 2008 (tentative)
Cost: $3,500-3,700
(Cost may vary depending on incidentals and Global Studies Credit) Cost can be covered in part or in full by individual and group fundraising.

Spend a summer in Ethiopia working with a Non Government Organization. Participation selection will focus on Education and Pre-med majors, or a student with a particular skill set that meets the needs of the NGO (last year we set up computer network at the hospital). Education majors will be teaching in rural schools while Premed majors work in an area hospital.

Courses Offered:
Global Studies Credit (One hour option)
ED- Field Experience for Education Majors (One to Three hours)
Premed- Practicum Experience for Pre-meds (One to Three hours)
