CAUSE

Christian Ambassadors United for Service and Evangelism

The purpose of CAUSE Student Ministries is to mobilize JBU students for ministry and service on campus, in the community, and around the world. CAUSE is a group of student-led and organized ministries that motivates, trains, and supports students as they learn to apply their knowledge and skills to various outreach opportunities. CAUSE promotes spiritual growth on campus through campus-wide events and small group settings.

Acting on AIDS:
Acting on AIDS exists to glorify God by raising AIDS awareness and advocating for those affected by the pandemic. We do this by:

  • Educating students about the reality of the global pandemic.
  • Providing a place where students can follow Christ's command to care for the poor and the sick.

Child Evangelism Fellowship:
Our goal is to evangelize children with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in His Word, and establish them in Bible teaching churches so that they can become mature in their faith.  CEF Cause Ministry trains JBU students to teach Bible Clubs to children from 1st to 5th grade.  The Bible Clubs are conducted each semester for one hour after school one day each week for seven weeks each semester in schools, apartment community rooms, and day care facilities.  The Bible Clubs use fun games and lively songs to reinforce the exciting lessons taught from the Bible.  Snacks and drinks are provided as a treat for everyone at the end of each Bible Club.  We encourage you to come and join us in teaching children about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Great Abandon:
Great Abandon Dance Ministry aims to foster relationships among young women on campus through the joy and common interest of dance while ministering to the surrounding community. It was written that King David danced with great abandon before the Lord, and we will strive as young women to use our dance movements to worship God and share the redeeming message of the gospel. By holding weekly dance classes for JBU students and hosting periodic dance classes for younger girls in Siloam, this ministry will act as a small group and an outreach program. With performances in chapel and local churches we hope to grow together as dancers and young women, but also missionaries of God's word and love through dance.
