The renewable energy program offers a comprehensive background in both mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals while concentrating on sustainable energy technologies from a design standpoint.
Renewable energy courses explore the science and engineering principles that are applied to convert natural resources into usable energy. Students also learn how to analyze geographic and socio-economic factors to determine appropriate energy solutions for international sustainable development.
At JBU, there are many opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in designing, constructing, and monitoring renewable energy systems. Students work with real-time data from solar and wind energy being generated on campus. Our facilities provide industry-grade software to design renewable energy systems and analyze their results.
