What is so great about John Brown University's management major? In learning about ethical leadership, students are encouraged take part in changing the community through self-directed projects and participation in national and international competitions.
John Brown University’s Management major prepares students for careers as professional managers in corporations, public institutions, not-for-profit organizations, and small businesses. Students are introduced to a variety of management including international management, organizational leadership, and human resource management.
The curriculum gives students a broad exposure to the functional areas of business, the environments in which organizations must operate, and knowledge of important behavioral dimensions of management. Special topics of interest are offered on a group basis in a classroom setting, or as an independent study under faculty supervision.
Students are encouraged to use their skills outside the classroom by joining special interest groups, clubs, or extra-curricular activities. In doing this, students can have the opportunity to be in leadership roles, which would enhance their knowledge of leading and managing people.
