Booneville

Booneville

The Dunham family was chosen for our first install. The site sits at the top of a ridge that runs east to west.  Since wind generally comes from the west and north, this orientation was perfect. The landowner's application for wind power would be a wind turbine to supply electricity for his three chicken houses.

The Bush family was chosen for our second installation.  Their land is open with very little obstructions to the wind flow.  Their application is for a residential wind turbine.   First quarter of wind data has been measured at 4.6 m/s.

Bradford

BradfordThe Robertson family was the third selection. Their farm sits rather high compared to the neighboring topography and their space is also quite open for winds coming from the NW, west and south.  Special anchoring was used in this installation due to the superficial bedrock found in the area.

The Turner's were our last site.  The installation was done in a sunny winter day. Jack Turners property is flat and very open.  This time, we took an entire wind resource assessment engineering class to help out in the installation. Jack Turner, the land owner, has 4 chicken houses which he wants to power with wind energy.
