INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Position
John Brown University seeks a faculty member to provide academic leadership for international business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching courses such as International Management, International Marketing, and International Finance, in addition to other selected undergraduate and graduate courses within the Division of Business. This faculty member will also be encouraged to develop, facilitate, and possibly lead study abroad opportunities which would be of value to international business majors.
Program
The International Business degree at JBU is a broad program of studies designed to prepare students to function competently in international and multicultural business contexts. This major may be combined with other programs of study or may be used by mission oriented students who plan to use their business skills to support the advancement of the Gospel. The Division of Business offers undergraduate degrees (B.S. and B.A.) in Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Sport Management. Graduate degrees include the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in International Business, Master of Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in Leadership and Ethics, Master of Science in Leadership and Ethics (MSLE), and Master of Science in Leadership and Ethics (MSLE) with Higher Education Emphasis. The programs of the Division of Business are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.
Qualifications
Masters degree or relevant terminal degree required. Industry experience strongly preferred. Effective teaching experience, evidence of scholarly potential and a passion for teaching and spiritual formation within the evangelical tradition is essential. Candidates should also be willing to contribute to university life in areas such as academic advising, recruiting for the major, and committee service.
Salary
A competitive salary exists which will be commensurate with training and/or experience.
