Adjunct Position - Business (Off-Campus Sites)
Position
John Brown University seeks adjunct faculty in Business to teach in the adult degree completion program (Advance Program) in the areas of Organizational Management and Business Information Systems. Classes are held at the off-campus sites in North Little Rock, Fort Smith, and Rogers, along with classrooms in Harrison and Hot Springs.
Program
The Advance Program provides non-traditional education opportunities for working adults through an accelerated degree program offered at the following sites: North Little Rock, Fort Smith, and Rogers, with classes offered in Harrison and Hot Springs. The vehicle for learning is the innovative Advance Program which enables working adults with two or more years of college to earn a bachelors degree in less than two years. Most classes meet one evening per week. The Advance Program is housed in the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies.
Qualifications
Doctorate in business preferred, masters required, along with a minimum of five years work experience in a business field. Supervisory and/or leadership experience is necessary. Candidate should be able to clearly articulate the integration of the Christian faith and business. Effective teaching in higher education is preferred and a commitment to Christian higher education is essential. A passion for teaching and spiritual formation within the evangelical tradition is required.
Salary
A competitive salary will be commensurate with academic degree.

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: The noise level in the work environment can be excessive.
