Adjunct Position - Education (Off-Campus Sites)
Position
John Brown University seeks adjunct faculty in Education to teach adults in the Education Degree Completion program (EDC). This program provides professional preparation to adult students who plan to teach preschool through fourth grade in public or private schools. Classes are held at the off-campus sites in Rogers and Fort Smith.
Program
The Education Degree Completion Program provides an opportunity for adult students seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and leading to initial licensure in Arkansas. This program enables working adults with two or more years of college to complete a bachelors degree in Education in two years with classes meeting one or two evenings per week. This program is offered at two sites: Rogers and Fort Smith. This program is housed in the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies.
Qualifications
Doctorate in education preferred; masters required. A minimum of five years teaching experience in the P-12 school system is essential. A commitment to Christian higher education and a passion for teaching and spiritual formation within the evangelical tradition is required.
Salary
A competitive salary will be commensurate with academic degree.

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
