JBU Hosts Family Weekend
Siloam Springs, Ark (February 16, 2004) — John Brown University’s annual Family Weekend will be held Friday, Feb. 20 through Saturday, Feb. 21. Parents and family members of JBU students are invited to visit campus and enjoy classes, meals, athletic events, and a student talent and variety show. The weekend is hosted by the JBU alumni & parent relations offices. “It is our objective to provide an opportunity for family members to experience campus, the students, be involved in university activities and get to know the JBU community a little better,” said Adriane Carr, director of alumni and parent relations. Feature events for the weekend include the Student Talent and Variety Show Friday at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday afternoon, the JBU baseball and rugby clubs will play. The Golden Eagles intercollegiate activities begin Saturday evening with the men playing at 6:00 p.m. and the women playing at 8:00 p.m. against Oklahoma Christian University Approximately 300 family members are expected to attend. Family members may also take advantage of discounts during special hours at Dayspring Outlet on Friday and Saturday. Registration for the weekend will begin Friday, Feb. 20, at 10:00 a.m. in Walker Student Center.
