John Brown Competing in Liberal Arts Conference Meet
Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 20, 2004) — Both the men and women’s swimming and diving teams from John Brown Universityare competing in the Liberal Arts Conference meet this weekend at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After the first day’s events, the women’s team is in 5th place with 95 points and behind the leader, Colorado College, a team that has scored 228 points on the opening day. The Golden Eagle men find themselves in 6th place after the first day of competition with 89 points, 120 points behind the leader, Loras College, who has209 points. The only JBU athletes to break into the top three in individual and relay events are the women’s 200 yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:43.33 for a second place finish and the women’s 400 yard Medley Relay with a time of 4:15.70 for a third place. Events continue today and Saturday.
