JBU Signs Goalkeeper

Siloam Springs, Ark. (June 22, 2004) — The John Brown University men’s soccer team, along with head coach, Bob Gustavson, is pleased to announce that Chris Hansmann of Tulsa, Okla. will play soccer for the Golden Eagles. Hansmann is an honorable mention All-State goalkeeper from Nathan Hale High School, where he was also selected as All-Conference, all-District, and team MVP. “Chris has good size and technique, and I am impressed with his angle play,” Gustavson said. “He has great potential and is a very hard worker. I know that he will develop into a first rate college goalkeeper. He will make us deeper at that position.” Chris will join JBU’s Pablo Fernandez (NAIA All-American) and freshman Glenn Goodner (Colorado Rush) to comprise one of the strongest goalkeeping crews in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Hansmann is the son of Walter and Janet Hansmann. In addition to soccer, he has been active in scouting earning the highest honor, Eagle Scout.
