(August 13, 2004) - LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas' senior U-S senator says Congress should reconvene to consider the 9-11 Commission's recommendations. Blanche Lincoln is asking Arkansans to sign a petition calling for Congress to go back into session this month. Lawmakers are set to return to Capitol Hill after Labor Day. Lincoln says that without extra time, it's unlikely meaningful legislation will be passed before next year. A spokesman for the Senator says Linclon iswilling to forgo campaigning to take time to debate the commission's findings.
