JBU Soccer Signs Hometown Player

Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 17, 2005) — Nathan Piston, a 5’8” midfielder from Siloam Springs, Arkansas signed a letter of intent Thursday morning to play soccer at John Brown University.

Nathan plays high school soccer at Siloam Springs High School and also participated in club soccer for the Arkansas Comets and the Highlanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Piston is the son of Calvin and Stephanie Piston. Calvin Piston is a math professor at John Brown University.


Coach Bob Gustavson remarked on the signing of Nathan saying, “I’ve watched Nathan excel at every age group he has played. He is technically very sound, has a good knowledge of the game, and he just loves to play. His passion for soccer should make him a fine addition to our program. I’m very pleased that he has chosen to attend JBU and play for the Golden Eagles.”
