Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 26, 2006) - The John Brown Golden Eagles overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to defeat Science & Arts (Okla.) 72-62 Thursday night in Chickasha, Okla. Adam Workman scored 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting from behind the arc to lead the Golden Eagles. Brandon Cole added 17 points and 4 treys. Alex Terry dished out 9 assists to go along with 6 points; and Joel Tesis scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
A layup by Terry pulled John Brown (10-9, 5-3 SAC) to within 35-34 at halftime, and a Workman three-pointer gave the Golden Eagles the lead with 19:32 remaining in the second half. The Drovers took the lead back, but a three-pointer by Wes Brown tied the game 52-52 at 8:46, and another trey by Workman gave the Golden Eagles the lead for good, 55-52, with 8:07 to play.
The Golden Eagles connected on 13-of-30 three-point attempts and out-rebounded the Drovers 39-31. The Golden Eagles also shot 83.3% (15-of-18) from the free-throw line.
John Brown hosts Northwestern Oklahoma State Saturday at 3:00.
