JBU Men Finish with Conference Loss
Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 25, 2006) — The John Brown Golden Eagles dropped into fourth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference as they finished their regular season with a 62-43 loss to Southern Nazarene Saturday night in Bethany, Okla. Adam Workman led John Brown with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. Cody Page scored 9 points, all on 3-pointers. Milorad Damjanac led Southern Nazarene with 18 points, and Jerayle Franklin scored 10.
John Brown (16-13, 11-7) can still receive an at-large bid to the NAIA Tournament when the final ratings are released on Wednesday. Short of that, the Golden Eagles will have to win the SAC Tournament next weekend to qualify to defend their national title. Last season, the Golden Eagles received an at-large bid with a 10-8 conference record. Southern Nazarene (19-11, 8-10) will have to win the SAC Tournament in order to receive an NAIA invitation.
