McCormick Awarded Another All-American Spot
Siloam Springs, Ark. (March 23, 2006) — One week after being named a Kodak/WBCA All-America honorable mention, Kendra McCormick of John Brown University received recognition as an All-American on the NAIA third team. The 6-1 senior forward from Siloam Springs averaged 16.1 points and 5.13 rebounds per game this season and led the Golden Eagles to a 20-12 overall record and a berth in the NAIA Division I Women’s National Championship. No other athlete from an Arkansas school made the list.
This is the second time in her career that McCormick has received such an honor. She made second-team All-American in 2004. She finishes her career at John Brown as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,793 points. She was the Sooner Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2003 and was a four-time All-Sooner Athletic Conference performer.
