Local Player Inks with Women’s Basketball
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 3, 2008) — Kacie Larkin, a 5-7 guard from Siloam Springs, Ark., has signed national letter of intent to play women’s basketball at JBU in the fall.
Larkin, who is a 5A All-State selection, finished her high school career with over 1400 points and 500 rebounds. As a senior she averaged nearly 21 points and seven rebounds per game.
Head coach Jeff Soderquist stated that he’s pleased to have a talented local player chose to stay at home and come to JBU.
“We’re excited that Kacie has chosen to play for JBU,” said Soderquist. “She had an outstanding high school career and we hope it can carry over into her college career.”
Larkin joins a list of talented freshman headed to JBU in the fall. Chelsea Garrison, a 6-2 post from Shiloh Christian HS, Michelle Garcia, a 5-9 guard from Sapulpa, Okla., and Whitney Binder, a 6-0 wing from Lindale, Texas signed earlier in the year.
