JBU Golf Signs Local Player

Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 7, 2008) — West Loveland, from Rogers (Ark.) High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s golf for John Brown University in the fall.

Loveland, who helped his Rogers High team win a state championship this spring, is the first player added to the 2008 roster for the men’s golf team. Head coach Brian Thomas said that he’s excited to sign his first player this off season and knows Loveland’s experience should benefit the team immediately.

“West is a skilled golfer who has championship experience as a member of a state championship team," said Thomas. “I’m extremely pleased to have to him at JBU and also pleased the program is moving in the right direction.”

Loveland plans to major in pre-medicine.
