Women’s Soccer Defeated by OCU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 14, 2008) — It was a rainy afternoon at Alumni Field on Tuesday afternoon as the women’s soccer team fell 7-1 to SAC foe Oklahoma City.

It was all OCU as they scored the first goal in the opening minute. From there things just began to unravel as the Lady Stars continued to control the match.

“If we want to be considered one of the elite teams, we’ve got to work on organization,” said head coach Joe Thoma. “We got to shake this one off. Tomorrow’s another day.”

Sophomore Robyn Cluka scored the lone goal for JBU in the 70th minute off the assist from sophomore Sarah Kidd.

The loss drops the women to 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the SAC.

Up next, the women face Southern Nazarene (Okla.) at home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
