Shawnee, Okla. (April 8, 2009) — The John Brown University men's golf team placed ninth during the two day Oklahoma Baptist Bison Invitational, which was held in Shawnee on Monday and Tuesday.

Day one of the invitational was suspended due to high winds, but the men returned on Tuesday to finish for a one day total of 365. Tournament winner, Oklahoma Baptist, finished in the top spot at 306.

West Loveland led JBU in the individual standings after finishing tied for 19th with an 82 (11-over par).

Jeff Hobble finished tied at 23rd with an 85, and Matt Brooker took the 32nd spot with an 87.

The men's golf team will close out their comeback season on April 27-28 when they head to the Sooner Athletic Conference championship.
