Texas native inks with men's basketball
Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 12, 2009) — Edmund “EJ” McWoods, a 6-1 guard from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s basketball for John Brown University next winter.
Under the guidance of Dallas Jesuit’s boy’s head coach Chris Hill, McWoods had a stellar preparatory career where he averaged 10.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. Hill stated that Dallas Jesuit will miss McWoods but are looking forward to watching him continue to grow.
“We are very excited and proud of EJ for earning this scholarship,” said Hill. “He has the potential to be an exceptional basketball player but more importantly, a tremendous addition to the community as a whole at John Brown University.” JBU head men’s basketball coach Clark Sheehy added that he’s also very happy to have McWoods join the JBU program.
“We are glad he’s a Golden Eagle,” said Sheehy. “He comes from a successful program at Dallas Jesuit and I expect him to bring added athleticism and toughness to our team.”
