Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 15, 2009) — The JBU women’s volleyball team extended their home winning streak to 11 games with a 3-0 (25-8, 25-11, 25-19) win over the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles on Tuesday night. With the win, JBU moves to 9-1 on the year.

Offensively, freshman Erin Didier posted nine kills with a .571 hitting efficiency. She was followed by senior Christi Newton with eight. Newton also led the team with three service aces. Meanwhile, senior setter Britney Kerns picked up 17 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Shannon Proctor totaled 14 digs and junior Kirsten Lee had four blocks.

Head coach Robyn Daugherty said that she’s pleased with the way her team played tonight and was able to try out a few new things.

“We executed really well tonight,” said Daugherty. “We got to change some patterns and got to play some people in new positions so overall it was a good night.”

Up next, JBU travels to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the two-day Texas Wesleyan Tournament taking place on Fri.-Sat., Sept. 18-19.
