Plainview, Texas (October 2, 2009) — The JBU women’s volleyball team took their winnings ways on the road on Friday night after taking down conference foe Wayland Baptist (Texas) in five sets, 25-21, 14-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-12. JBU improves to 15-2 overall and 3-0 in the SAC.

Amber Wilson totaled 15 kills followed by Erin Didier with 11. Britney Kerns had 18 assists and Alyssa Hanson had 12. Wilson also had two aces.

Defensively, Shannon Proctor picked up 40 digs, and Christi Newton had four blocks.

JBU continues conference play on Saturday when they travel to Lubbock (Texas) Christian to take on the Lady Chaparrals. LCU is currently ranked 19th in the NAIA with a 23 home-match winning streak. They sit at 13-3 overall and 3-0 in the SAC.
