Siloam Springs, Ark (September 13, 2000) — On Tuesday, October 3, the Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics (SCLE) will host a one-day seminar on the campus of John Brown University. The Leadership Expedition: Equipping you to guide others through the dynamic landscape of business ethics.
The theme for the seminar will focus on the issue of ethical leadership in the workplace and highlight presentations by top executives and corporate leaders. Don Soderquist, recently retired senior vice-chairman of Wal-Mart Stores, John Pepper, chairman of the Board for Proctor & Gamble, Inc., Bill Pollard, chairman and CEO of ServiceMaster, Inc., along with Dr. Charles Wilson and Wendy Koons of the SCLE will round out the list of speakers for the various sessions throughout the day.
A unique aspect of The Leadership Expedition will be the opportunity for personal interaction between the speakers and participants. Presentation and discussion format will provide the opportunity for in depth analysis of the prevalent issues and opportunities ethical leadership brings to business leaders in today’s workplace.
Dr. Charles Wilson, Executive Director of the SCLE is pleased with the fall seminar and what it will offer to Northwest Arkansas. “I am excited about the opportunities to listen to state of the art speakers, network with other professionals and develop skills to lead us into the next decade." said Wilson.
The SCLE is committed to the enrichment and growth of business leaders who will demonstrate ethical standards in their personal lives and, as a result, bring that standard to the organizations and businesses they serve.
