Women blown over by Crimson Storm

Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 23, 2010) — The JBU women’s basketball team dropped their sixth consecutive game on Saturday night after losing to No. 25 Southern Nazarene (Okla.) 78-66 in Murray Sells.

The loss drops the women to 7-13 overall and 3-9 in Sooner Athletic conference play. SNU improved to 13-7 overall and 7-5 in conference action.

Ashley Taylor scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Lady Eagles.

For SNU, Lana Keith had 21 and nine boards and Logan Martin added 16.

Overall, JBU shot 46 percent (27-59) from the floor, while SNU knocked down 51 percent (33-65). SNU dominated the boards winning 43-26.

The ladies head to the road this upcoming week where they’ll face Wayland Baptist on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Lubbock Christian on Saturday at 1 p.m.
