Shawnee, Okla. (February 11, 2010) — The JBU women’s basketball team gave up a 65-48 decision to St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on Thursday night in Shawnee. With the loss, the ladies drop to 8-17 overall and 4-13 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

After only being down by one at the half, 28-27, the women came out sluggish in the second half and were outscored 37-21.

Junior Ashley Taylor scored 13 points to lead JBU. Senior LeNece Glossett added 10.

SGU (9-15), had three players finish in double figures led by Jalisa Howard with 16 points.

For the night, JBU shot 33% from the floor while allowing the Lady Cavs to knock down 45% of their attempts. JBU also lost the turnover battle 21-18, and were dominated on the glass 37-24.

Up next, the ladies return home to face No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 6 p.m.
