Golf eleventh at U.C. Ferguson Classic
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 14, 2010) — The JBU golf team finished 11th of 14 teams after competing in the two-day U.C. Ferguson Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University at the Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City on April 12-13. The team shot a two-day, three-round total of 937 (+146) on the par 71, 6,137-yard course.
Oklahoma City won the classic with a score of 848, followed by Oklahoma Christian with an 853.
Individually, freshman Taylor Mullings led JBU with a 227 (+14), which tied him for 27th. Sophomore West Loveland and junior Jeff Hobble both tied for 44th after shooting scores of 234 (+21), followed by sophomore Matt Brooker and freshman Nathan Sudheimer with a 243 (+30) and 246 (+33) respectively. Oklahoma City’s Michael Palmer topped all performers with a three-under 210 to take first place.
The JBU men will close out the year at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships on April 19-20 at the Dornick Hills Golf Club in Ardmore, Okla.
