JBU CHORUSES TO PRESENT WORSHIP SERVICES

Siloam Springs, Ark (April 1, 1998) — The John Brown University men's and women's choruses will present a worship service through music on Sunday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lowell. A repeat performance will be held Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Ozarks on the JBU campus. Both services are free and open to the public.

Two selections that the men's chorus will present are "With a Voice of Singing" and "Exsultate just in Domino." The women's chorus will sing "A Blessing," and "Cantate Domino" among other numbers.

The choruses will also combine to sing "Give Me Jesus," "God of Comfort, God of Courage," and "Hark, I Hear the Harp's Eternal."

The JBU men's and women's choruses have established themselves as ensembles of excellence in the 11 years since conductor Paul Smith began the groups. They sing concerts in the fall and spring in the regional area and take part in Homecoming, Christmas and chapel programs at JBU throughout the year. Choir members come from all academic areas of study and from many states and foreign countries and are motivated by their desire to serve the Lord and to enter into a corporate worship experience with His people.
