Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 18, 2010) — Bryan Werner, a 6’5” power forward from Birdville, TX has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for John Brown University in the fall. Bryan averaged 20 points a game and 8 rebounds for Birdville High School. He was named district MVP, All-Region, All-State and Academic All-State.

Birdville Head Coach Jeff Fitch says, “Bryan has been an all-around great player for us at Birdville. He is not only a great basketball player, but an incredible person. He will be a great fit for JBU.”

JBU Coach Clark Sheehy states, “We are extremely excited to add Bryan to our team. We like the fact that he will bring us an inside/outside threat. Bryan has the ability to score around the basket and step out and shoot as well. He has had a great high school career and we are expecting good things from him”
