Volleyball struggles on the road

Shawnee, Okla. (October 6, 2010) — On Tuesday night, the JBU women’s volleyball team faced the 18th ranked Lady Bison of Oklahoma Baptist and came up empty losing 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 19-25, 12-25). The loss drops JBU to 13-9 overall and 3-3 in the SAC.

Junior Allie Rankin led the team with 10 kills followed by sophomore Erin Didier with nine. Senior Alyssa Hanson tallied 35 assists.

Defensively, junior Sarah Jordan collected 17 digs and Amber Wilson, Erin McIlroy and Rankin each had six blocks.

Up next, the ladies return home on Saturday to face St. Gregory’s (Okla.) at noon and Lyon (Ark.) at 2 p.m. Lyon and SGU will face off at 4 p.m.
