Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 12, 2010) — Despite a strong effort on Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Field, the JBU women’s soccer gave up a 2-1 decision against No. 20 Oklahoma City in SAC competition. The loss drops the ladies to 7-3-1 overall and 3-2 in the SAC.

OCU (9-2, 5-0) set the tempo early on after scoring their first goal in the 23rd minute. Less than a minute later, the Stars would score another goal off the corner kick.

JBU managed to hold OCU scoreless the rest of the way and was able to put in a goal in the 89th minute. But it was too little too late as the Stars walked away with the one goal win.

Sophomore Faith Thurman had one save in the losing effort.

The ladies return to the field on Saturday against Rogers State in Claremore, Okla. at 5 p.m.
