Golf takes fifth at Sterling Invite
Hutchinson, Kan. (October 14, 2010) — The JBU men’s golf team finished fifth out of 10 teams during the two-day Sterling Invitational hosted by Sterling College in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Golden Eagles finished the par 72, 6,486 yard course with a two-day total of 682.
Sterling College won the tournament after shooting a 627.
Individually for JBU, junior West Loveland led the team after shooting 165 (75, 88). He finished 10th overall. Junior Matt Brooker finished 11th overall with a 166 (80, 86), and sophomore Nathan Sudheimer shot a 175 (83, 92) to finish tied for 27th. Senior Jeff Hobble and sophomore Cameron Lindsey were tied for 39th after shooting 184.
The men will be off the rest of the fall season and return to competition in the spring with the UST Texas Intercollegiate on March 13-14.
